Parents, students and friends can contribute to the library in many ways:
- Volunteering – Parent volunteers are always needed to help get new books onto the shelves and do other tasks that assist library staff and students.
- Birthday Book – Parents can honor their children and buy books for the library by participating in the Birthday Book program. Parents can contribute $15 for a new book or $30 for a new video. Their child’s name will be on a bookplate placed in the front of the book and on the Birthday Book Wall of Fame.
- Scholastic Book Fair – The LMC hosts a Scholastic Book Fair in late winter. This event allows parents and students to buy great books at reasonable prices. The library receives between 20 and 50% of the money spent. A large number of parent volunteers are needed at the Book Fair.
- Community Service - Student volunteers can earn community service hours working at the library.
